Landscape Designer & Contractor Jake Moss

When Jake isn’t re-designing outdoor living spaces for television, he is busy architecting landscapes and unique features for clients all over. His custom designs are crafted to suit each individual or family’s personality, and are a fascinating fusion of art and landscape architecture.

Jake got his start in landscaping at the age of 10 years old by working for his father's landscape company in Sacramento, California. "My dad gets all the credit and all the blame for getting me into this business, " Jake says. "He fired and re-hired me more times than I can count."

Jake, always pushing the boundaries of the norm, made the connection between landscaping and art in 1998 when he started exploring the world of design. It was this connection that led him to his television debut in 2008, when he landed a spot on the pilot of Yard Crashers as the lead landscape contractor.

What was supposed to be a one time gig, turned into many appearances, giving him the platform to show his innovative take on landscape architecture and design Nationwide. Yard Crasher appearances led to appearances on the competition landscape show, Turf War, where he pushed the boundaries of design even further. In 2011, his risk taking led him to Yardcore; A television series based on his unique designs, personality and of course the family dynamic with his brother.

Currently, Jake resides in Healdsburg, CA, is actively engaged in his design business, Jake Moss Designs. His future aspirations involve the creation of an eco-friendly, sustainable homestead with his wife, son and daughter.
